Mont Tremblant, Quebec in Summer

Since moving to Montreal a year ago, we’ve been exploring the province of Quebec and discovering the best places for family adventure and fun. We first visited Mont Tremblant in the winter. It was a winter wonderland full of ski slopes and snow-capped mountains. Our recent Mont Tremblant summer visit further confirmed that Mont Tremblant is the perfect family destination, but what makes it so notable? Check out below for our reasons why Mont Tremblant is the perfect family destination in the summer.

Three Reasons to Visit Mont Tremblant in Summer

Number One: Accessibility
Mont Tremblant, Quebec in Summer
Everything you could want to do in Mont Tremblant is located within walking distance or, at most, a short drive. The village offers bountiful accommodations, dining, and activities that cover a wide variety of interests and all age levels. If you’re staying in the lower village, you can ride the free gondola to the upper village and vice versa. The entire village is build as a pedestrian village so walking is easy and encouraged. All of the hotels have parking and there are other nearby parking options as well. Usually when we visit, we park our car and there is no need to use it again until it’s time to leave.

Number Two: Accommodations
Hotels in Mont Tremblant, Quebec
In the winter at Mont Tremblant, you can’t beat staying at Fairmont Tremblant. They are the closest hotel to the slopes and the only “ski-in/ski-out” hotel in Tremblant with ski valet service, ticket counter, and a ski and snowboard rental shop. There are 314 rooms and suites and a recent $6.5-million renovation transformed the hotel’s spa, lobby, and other public areas. They have a spectacular terrace with heated outdoor pools open year-round and a 24-hour fitness centre and indoor pool.

In the summer months though, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tremblant sits just a stone’s throw away from everything that Mont Tremblant has to offer at reasonable prices. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tremblant isn’t just in the perfect location. It offers suites large enough to accommodate the entire family, regardless of the size. Even traveling with four adults and one child wasn’t a challenge staying at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tremblant. Our suite offered two queen beds in a closed bedroom and a sofa-bed in the living room. It also featured a full kitchen, dishwasher, and a gas fireplace. The rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with bathtub and shower, tvs in the living area and bedroom, balcony, and complimentary Wi-Fi. As if that wasn’t a lot already, we also had an adjoining upstairs room with a queen bed, table, mini fridge, and full bathroom. Additionally, there is free Express Start™ Breakfast, sauna, outdoor whirlpool bath, and swimming pool in the summer.

Number Three: Activities
Mont Tremblant Activities
Summer activities are family-friendly and plentiful in Mont Tremblant. The Mont Tremblant Activity Card is your pass to adventure and some of the best Mont Tremblant summer activities. You can get 3, 5, or 7 accesses to activities for the whole family. There are 15 activities to choose from including: a Panoramic Gondola ride, Birds of Prey Show, Lunch Trio, Beach and Tennis Club, Pedal Boat, Canoe, or Kayak, Iceberg, Eurobungy, Climbing Tower, Akropark Junior, Mini Golf, Bike Rentals, Captain’s Harbour, Aquaclub La Source, Mission Laser, and Mission Liberte. The Mont Tremblant Activity Card is a great way to experience more for less in Mont Tremblant.

Our favorite summer adventure in Mont Tremblant is ziplining. Ziptrek Ecotours is an awe inspiring journey that allows you to soar high above the trees while zipping from the summit of the mountain back to the village. It features five distinct ziplines that total almost 4km in length. By experiencing the complete set of ziplines, you travel the full extent of the mountain and enjoy remarkable scenery from various select vantage points.

Another thrilling Mont Tremblant summer attraction is the Skyline Luge, a gravity-fueled ride that provides riders full control over their descent on purpose-built track. This twisting and turning luge ride descends through a forest and offers scenic alpine views.

If you’re looking for a more laid back summer activity in Mont Tremblant, Scandinave Spa Mont-Tremblant offers a traditional Scandinavian baths experience in a peaceful and natural environment. The spa’s installations are designed to relax and invigorate you and provide an escape from the stress of daily life.
